About IPMR

IPMR is a non-profit comprehensive medical rehabilitation center dedicated to improving patient physical function and quality of life.

The quality of IPMR staff is unmatched in the region. From physicians to doctoral level physical therapists to billing staff, the Institute is proud of the advance training, skills and credentials of our staff.

Founded in 1950, IPMR provides inpatient and outpatient therapy at 18 locations throughout Central Illinois. Our physicians practice at all four Peoria area hospitals and conduct clinic office days at numerous outlying hospitals.

Comprehensive specialty and wellness programs

Our complete range of services includes 63 separate therapies with 6 programs that are available nowhere else in the Peoria area. Our M.D.s practice in all Peoria area hospitals and serve the greater community by traveling to five outlying hospitals for consults and EMGs. In addition, we offer unique wellness programs such as acupuncture, massage therapy, specialty exercise and we sponsor Senior World Adult Day Services.

IPMR therapists provide on-site services

IPMR works closely with local businesses in payment contracts, but also in provision of services. IPMR therapists provide on-site services, for example, to help staff of the electric utility company stay fit and injury free. The Institute also provides therapy for skilled nursing facilities and for home health agencies.

Learn more about our non-profit mission.

We employ full-time board-certified physicians and more than 120 physical, occupational and speech therapists and therapist assistants, as well as gerontologists, exercise specialists, nurses and a PhD clinical psychologist.
