Balance Rehabilitation is an IPMR Exclusive Program

Talk to your physician about an IPMR Balance Assessment.

Who can benefit from this program?

Balance Rehabilitation begins with an evaluation to thoroughly assess your balance problems. Your therapy may include balance and gait retraining, exercise, activities of daily living and safety and equipment recommendations. The balance evaluation may be beneficial to anyone who has experienced any of the following:

  • Dizziness
  • Cerebral vascular accident
  • Neurological conditions
  • Head or neck injury
  • Orthopedic injuries
  • Parkinson's disease
  • Falling or instability
  • Vestibular weakness or injury
  • Pediatric developmental delays
  • Sports injuries
  • Vertigo
  • Inner ear problems

Accurate, effective evaluations

After the evaluation, treatment may include therapy interventions such as strengthening or gait training. For some conditions, more extensive evaluation or treatment may be needed. Our program uses the Smart Balance Master by NeuroCom®. The computer-based system evaluates all areas of patient balance— both static and dynamic. And, all aspects of gait are assessed using the Gait Rite® system to determine abnormalities or weakness.
