IPMR fitness programs are for people who know regular exercise would be a good idea, but have concerns about going to a health club, or who want a more medically supervised program.

Classes accommodate persons with diabetes, arthritis, Parkinson's, stroke, or other medical conditions, or anyone who wants to get in better shape and have fun doing it. IPMR wellness programs focus on taking charge of your own well-being, emphasizing lifestyle changes to relieve stress and stay in shape.

Gentle Exercise & Stretching Program—"no sweat" class designed to improve function and minimize pain of conditions such as fibromyalgia and arthritis. Gentle aerobics, walking, stretching, simple yoga, and balance exercises are also effective as a means of working back into exercise after a period of illness or inactivity. Senior Exercise Program—Classes are held twice weekly. It's never too late to get in shape and this class can help build your strength, endurance and flexibility. Classes are friendly and fun, even if you've never been in an exercise program before. Independent Exercise Program—A full array of Lido strength training equipment, along with treadmills and both standard and recumbent bicycles for cardiovascular conditioning are available. Individuals who prefer to exercise on their own rather than in a group are able to use the facilities when classes or therapy are not in session. Wheelchair Exercise—A Magnum MultiGym is available with four workout stations. IPMR was the first to offer this strength training equipment for individuals in wheelchairs. Where:IPMR Peoria, North
