Since 2003, the Rehabilitation Foundation of IPMR has been bringing baseball greats to the Peoria Chiefs’ stadium each June. IPMR supporters have greeted “Legends” including Whitey Herzog, Lou Brock, Ryne Sandberg, Steve Stone, Ron Santo, Bruce Sutter, Lee Smith, Fergie Jenkins and Andre Dawson.
The IPMR Foundation helps our community
Your gift helps us serve neighbors here in Central Illinois. The Rehabilitation Foundation of IPMR is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization that supports the charitable purposes and service excellence of the Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
The Foundation helps provide funding for patients at IPMR who cannot afford the care they need and support for unfunded programs that provide critical services to our community.
The Foundation undertook a capital campaign to build a new facility for Senior World, IPMRÕs adult day services program. Today, our beautiful building allows us to care for more seniors than ever before in this specially-designed, secure environment.
The Foundation established a fund to help patients who cannot afford needed rehabilitation services. And over the past eight years, proceeds from our Legend at the Ballpark fundraising event have helped purchase special equipment, such as the NuStep reciprocal recumbent cross-training machine, a Magnum Multi-Gym for patients in wheelchairs, and the GaitRite¨ assessment system and Solo-Step which are available nowhere else in the Peoria area.
