Physical Therapy
IPMR physical therapists are experts in the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular problems that affect people's abilities to move the way they want and function as well as they can in their daily lives.
The cornerstones of physical therapy treatment are therapeutic exercise and functional training. Treatments are designed to return patients to their maximum ability and independence as quickly and safely as possible. This may be achieved with interventions such as joint mobilization, massage of muscle tissue, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, gait and transfer training, balance activities, and individualized exercise programs for stretching and/or strengthening muscles.
